Carp Kinetics has just launched their best-ever long distance range of carp rods – the new Synapse range.

The new Synapse Distance Carp rods are designed for fishing at 100-yards plus and not only feature super-slim, power carbon blanks but some of the largest bore, low friction guides ever put on a range of rods!

The butt eye measures a whopping 50mm to aid casting distance while the two piece carbon blanks can be wound up to launch a carp lead and rig with accuracy, even at extreme range.

Featuring a low profile, full length ‘Neoskin’ handle that’s easy to grip, a screw reel seat, Matsuku single and double legged guides, hook keeper rings, plus a superb matt finish to the sections, they look the part on the bank too.

There are three rods in the range – all 12ft in length – with test curves of 2.5lb, 2.75, and a super power 3.5lb version.

In the middle is the 12ft 2.75lb rod which is best matched with mainlines from 8lb to 15lb and leads up to 3.5oz. This powerful rod weighs just 13.8oz!

The Synapse rods have already been field tested by some serious carp anglers and after a few modifications to the tip sections from the initial samples CK feel they’ve got a series of rods to keep up with the big names of carp fishing, but at a much more sensible price.
