Soft on the strike and with power in reserve, most of the country’s top match anglers have switched over to double elastics in recent seasons as they offer so much flexibility on the bank.

On the strike they are powerful enough to set hooks but soft enough not to bump fish and they let fish move out of the feed area in a controlled manner so you don’t spook the rest of the shoal.

Hook a bigger fish and they ‘power up’ giving you loads of extra potential to play and land any unexpected, bigger fish too.

This set comprises five strengths from a lightweight Size 3 Purple for silverfish, 4 and 5 for small carp and winter fishing, and 6 and 8 for all commercial carp tactics from on the deck to fishing shallow.

On each spool the elastic is semi fixed so it’s easier to thread it through top kits and can then be easily separated for fishing. Each spool contains 5m of doubled elastic.

Avanti Double Fluro Latex elastic

• Size 3 Purple – The lightest grade and ideal for all silverfish on shallow waters. Starts softer than a solid No 3 and powers up to a No 5.
• Size 4 Red – a very versatile elastic for roach and small skimmers with a soft strike powering up to around a No 6 for you to swing fish to hand quickly.
• Size 5 Yellow – Feels like a solid No 5 on the strike but powers up a No 6. Spot on for bigger roach, skimmers, and small F1s. A great cold weather commercial elastic.
• Size 6 Light Blue – The ideal elastic for small carp to 3lb to 5lb, big bream, and big F1s. Powers up to the same strength as a No 10 solid. A must have on small commercial waters.
• Size 8 Green – Perfect for carp of 5lb plus, big tench, and bream on deeper water venues where you want to fish on the deck or shallow. A very versatile elastic which starts off with the softness of a solid No 8 but powering up to a 12.
